About Qamara Centre

This Is Our Story

How It All Started ...

Qamara Therapy and Special Education Sdn. Bhd. is the brainchild of Sufaini Bidin and her husband, Army Rosdi Abdul Razak.

Unable to find a suitable program for their daughter in 2012, they decided to open a new early intervention program centre, not just for their daughter, but for other autism and special needs children.

They believe that with a proper early intervention program, these children will be able to fully integrate into the community as their potentials are unleashed.

Therefore, Qamara Centre was established in 2012 as Qamara’s Sensory Therapy and Intervention Centre.

Next Chapter Of The Story

Qamara Is More Than Just A Child Care Centre

Qamara’s Early Intervention Program (QEIP) is specialized for two (2) to six (6) years old. Occupational therapy, sensory integration therapy and social communication training are the key components of this program.

The therapists will address the functional needs and treat each child for adaptive development, adaptive behaviour, play skills, sensory processing, motor and social skills development.

Qamara Centre aims to fill the gap in the industry as a therapy centre that provides Sensory Integration Therapy which is previously not widely known in Malaysia. Sensory Integration Therapy is designed for children with sensory processing issues to normalize sensory inputs to make body function effectively integrate with the environment.

The sensory processing issues are common for children with Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Cerebral Palsy, Fetal Alcohol Syndrome and other Learning Disabilities.

Apart from QEIP, Qamara Centre also provides Qamara’s Advanced Learning Program (QALP) for seven (7) to twelve (12) years old who facing difficulties to adapt and learn in a standard school. This program has two main objectives.

The first objective is to promote self-determination and foster independence in autism and special needs children.

The second objective is to support them to master the 3Rs (reading, writing and arithmetic). In this program, each child will get exposure to pre-vocational skills. It is a preparation for the transition process from childhood to adolescent.
